Hola!
Miren tengo un problema a la hora de instalar un plugin para pidgin. Uso Fedora 8. Quiero instalar el plugin para xfire en pidgin. Cuándo hago el "./configure" me aparece lo siguiente:

Al parecer no me encuentra el pidgin, pero si que lo tengo instalado, ya que al intentar hacer "yum install pidgin" me aparece lo siguiente: | Cita: | [root@localhost gfire-0.7.0]# yum install pidgin

El problema debe ser ajustar la variable de entorno, pero no se como. Lo he intentado con " export PKG_CONFIG_PATH
"
Pero me sigue ocurriendo lo mismo.

A mi Pidgin tambien me dio problemas hace poco. No se porque pero ultimamente todo lo que sea instalar paquetes fuente me da problemas 
En lugar de Pidgin yo quizas te recomendatia Kmess. Echale un ojo en el siguiente link: http://www.kmess.org/
Al menos visualmente me convence mas que Pidgin y se instala facilmente con Autopackage.

Cuando haces un ./configure le puedes indicar donde están las librerias que necesite, lo primero serìa ubicar donde está instaladfo Pigdin e indicarselo al script.
